On the 23rd of September Sir Alex, Sir Bryan, Sergeant Lim Fei and some of us went to Mind Cafe for a biennial general meeting. The biennial general meeting was organised by the Passion card organisation and Achorvale community club. We were all given a free goodie bag each when we register at the counter of Mind Cafe. The goodie bag consist of one small packet of Ruffles potato chips, a small black bottle by Passion and many other different goodies.A few minutes later, the biennial general meeting started and the PM of Ang Mo Kio also came down to Mind Cafe to witness the meeting. The PM started with his welcome speech follow by the pledge taken by the staff of the Mind Cafe to make Mind Cafe a better place for the people and better facilities. After that we had a short break of around 30minutes before the second part of the day. There were many different variety of delicious and mouth watering food like oyster with prawn pasta, Lemon fish dipper, squid rings, black pepper chicken wings and many other beverages. After the short lunch break, we had some games like the pretender game whereby everyone were given a card. The card consist names of different famous people, leaders and brands around the world and we had to be called by the name throughout the day. We also played a game called Express it and Guess it whereby we were spilt into three different group A, B and C. Some of us also volunteer ourselves to act and to draw out the different emotions from the different types of emotions card we pick randomly. Eventually the game ended and we got the third and the last place and got a small hamper. Although we lose but we was not disappointed as it wasn’t totally about winning and getting the first place but to enjoy the precious times we had together and to give our best in everything.

On the 15th of September a Saturday, Montfort Npcc had their service day. We were spilt into groups of 4 and had to proceed to the school Learning Hub for a short briefing on what we can tell the public about Crime Prevention. The briefing was about how can we prevent crime from happening and some of the usual crime are theft, snatch theft, house breaking and robbery in lifts and corridor areas. Soon after the short briefing ,we were send out to our respective area to spread the message on how we could take safety measure on crime prevention. At first we were rather shy talking to the public as some of us are giving our first try talking to the public about crime prevention but after quite some time we was quite use to it. We told them about not leaving their handphone unattended on the coffee shop table while they are waiting for their food they order to come and how the rate of handphone theft to drop. We talk to the public about most of the common crimes and they were quite happy about our performance and some of the public also told us how we could improve talking to the public about crime prevention. One of the public was also once took the total defence course and he told us that he learn alot through the spreading of the message and ask us if we could have more of this events and could spread more messages to the public. It was great being a part of the service day as we have learn lots of things that day and it was sure and good and memorable learning experience. It also benefits the public on how they could prevent crimes from happening and hopefully after the service day there will decrease in most of the crimes in Singapore.
